Howard L. Rice

Howard L. Rice, 85, of Middle Inlet, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Born April 14, 1937, to the late Cotton “Elmer” Rice and Viola (Aho) Antila “Gene”, he married the love of his life, Janet Marsland of Green Bay in 1959 and she preceded him in death in 1993.

He worked at White Pine Copper Co. and the Red Owl Warehouse. He enjoyed volunteering at the VA, playing guitar, computers and “living up Nort.”

Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda (Rob) Raleigh; one grandson; three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Judi Rass, Jennifer (Gerald) Wixon and Josie (John) Urban; two brothers-in-law, Jack (Susie) Marsland and Jim (Jane) Marsland; a Godson, Robert Wery and many nieces and nephews.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; two brothers, Dennis and Glen; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Marsland and Jill (Tom) Wery; brother-in-law, Joe Marsland and special friend, Nathalie Miller.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
