Honorary Captain

This year, the Titans football team has selected Kyle Hodkiewicz     as the Honorary Homecoming Captain. On Sept. 19, 2015  Lena Elementary student Kyle Hodkiewicz passed, after battling leukemia for over 2 years. Kyle is the son of Mitch Hodkiewicz and Jessica Hodkiewicz. Kyle’s grandfather, Mike Hodkiewicz has worked with the Lena athletic programs for over 20 years as a statistician and scorebook keeper. The jersey that the Titans team captains are escorting to the captains meeting is the number 72. That number represents the number that Kyle’s father, Mitch wore when he played for Lena High School. The football team wanted everyone to know that they chose Kyle as this year’s Honorary Homecoming Captain as a reminder that he will always be a part of the Senior   Class of 2023.
