Heart Health Library Topic on February 15

On Friday, February 3, author Art Rein stopped by the library to drop off copies of his book Rolling in the Deep that patrons had preordered. Mr. Rein will be guest author on May 10th at 3:30 PM. If persons would still like their own copy, contact the library at (715) 582-4905. The book is $14. This is a discounted price. Otherwise, persons may place a hold to reserve a copy using their library card.

On Monday, Feb. 6, Nancy Sebero, a dental hygienist, spoke to children from Zion Lutheran Child Development Center and St. Thomas Aquinas Academy, and other children from the community about the importance of caring for their teeth.  Ms. Sebero had many visual aids, including real teeth that had cavities. She reminded children to brush their teeth after breakfast and before bedtime. She concluded her presentation with a discussion on healthy snacks and drinks. Ms. Sebero had various examples of soft drinks. She had bags with different amounts of sugar. The children were encouraged to place the bags by the amount of sugar in each soda.
