Embers 1871 Hosts Annual Bras for a Cause Event

Embers 1871 will be hosting their annual national fundraiser for Bras for a Cause on Wednesday, October 19th.  All the proceeds raised go to the Aurora Health Care Foundation for local breast cancer patients.
Bras are to be created and designed by the public and will be submitted for judging and auctioned off during the event.  Numerous awards will go to the following categories: Most Outrageous, Most Creative, Most Unique, People’s Choice, Best Play on Words, Best Business Entry, and Men’s Favorite.  Bras must be turned in by Sunday, October 16th to Sherry Veriha at Embers 1871.
Tickets for Bras for a Cause are $30.00 and all proceeds go to local breast cancer patients.  Doors open at 4:00 p.m. with judging for the public.  Male models from all ages will be showing off the beautiful and unique bras on the runway.  Dinner will be served at 5:00 pm. The live auction will follow the dinner. 
The fundraising organizer, Sherry Veriha, brought Bras for a Cause to the local area to help women in Marinette/Menominee counties. “There are so many women around this area who experience breast cancer and there are not many events to help those women, Bras for a Cause is a great way to assist them with their needs,” says Veriha.
