Elton A. Kalm

Elton Arthur Kalm, 84, of Marinette, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 at home. 

Born Jan. 12, 1937, to the late Arthur and Alvina (Behnke) Kalm, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1956. He then attended trade school to become a certified Plumber and Pipefitter and worked mostly in the Midwest as a Journeyman until retiring in 1996. He married Claudia (Grawey) on July 26, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marinette. 

An avid golfer, he also enjoyed camping, deer hunting, playing cards and his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a member of the Ridge Runner Muzzle Loads Club and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Claudia; daughters Elaine (significant other, Steven Anderson) Cholka of North Prairie, Wi., Marlea (Donn) Renk of West Allis, Wi., Kathy (significant other, Mark Hoffmanner) Coburn of Gardners, Pa. and Laura (Brian) Terreau of Menomonie, Wi.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur “Sam” and a sister, Anna Mae. 

Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes on Taylor Street on Wednesday, Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11a.m., with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette  is assisting the family with arrangements.
