Elizabeth Hagen

Elizabeth “Betty” (Thompson) Hagen, 91, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. 

Born Sept. 25, 1930, in Milwaukee, to Fred and Eleanore (Kachelek) Thompson, she graduated from the former Milwaukee County School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. In 1952 she married Jerome Hagen and they moved to the Marinette - Menominee area in 1968. She worked at the Luther Home as an RN. 

 She was a member of Holy Spirit Church, she also belonged to the Red Hats and Silver Sneakers. An avid reader, she was also an expert crossword puzzle solver, but was happiest spending time with family. She had a good sense of humor and loved to find the funny side of life, with her best advice of “eat dessert first”. 

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Hagen (Dean Peterson) of Milwaukee; a son, Paul (Linda) Hagen of Waupaca; a granddaughter of Shizuoka, Japan; a grandson of Ames, Iowa; cousins, Carol and Barbara; dear friend, Jeanette and other relatives and friends. 

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; a brother, Fred and a sister, Lois. 

Per her wishes, no funeral service will be held. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family.
