Dunbar Names Town Hall As Alternate Polling Place

After brief discussion regarding selection of an alternate polling place in the event of an emergency that prevents use of their own town hall on election day, Dunbar Town Board at its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 14 designated Pembine Town Hall as the alternate polling place for Town of Dunbar voters.

The board also discussed names for the unnamed road north of Woods Road, and agreed to submit “Three Bears Road” as their preferred name, with “Rosette Road” as an alternate.
Present for the meeting were Town Chair Bruce Radtke, Supervisors Dave Lovato and David White, Clerk/Treasurer Sue Ann Rohde-Perry, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Jayne Collins, and members of the public Dianne Adell, Kathy Lovato, Darcie Powell and Tricia Grebin.

During time for public comment Kathy Lovato asked if Walton Road could be designated as a historical road to prevent the old big oaks from being cut down. Radtke said he will check with Marinette County.

Supervisor Lovato reported that Clean Sweep is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, and the Day of Caring is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, with a rain date of Wednesday, May 24, with approximately 40 students expected to participate.

Lovato also reported that work will be done to combine the museum and town garage electric underground to avoid overhead wires that can be hit by trucks.

Chairman Radtke reported that four permits were issued by the Zoning Administrator during the prior month.
Supervisor White reported that road weight limits are in effect and Ross Bole is looking for grants for culverts. He said there are minor problems with the truck and bolts need to be fixed on the brusher.

The monthly financial report was presented by the Clerk/Treasurer and approved.

The next monthly meeting was scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, and the meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
