Everyone Accused Deserves a Defense

I find many of the attack ads against both candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court absurd. Both candidates were defense lawyers at some time in their careers. If defense lawyers only defended choirboys, they could not earn a living. To attack these Supreme Court candidates for defending people accused of heinous crimes makes no sense This is what a defense lawyer does because of the nature of their job.  The constitution says everyone accused of a crime is entitled to a proper defense in a court of law. These attack ads are like attacking a surgeon because he cuts people.
