Dama Plumbing Hosts Lennox Feel the Love

For the last 14 years, Dama Plumbing and Heating, Inc. has participated in the Lennox Feel the Love Program; this year we had the honor of supporting the Lundberg family. Larry and LaVerne Lundberg have been longtime residents of the Crivitz community, and have always been heavily involved in community development, fundraising, and service. Dama Plumbing and Heating is truly honored to have been able to install a new furnace for this hard-working family.

Larry was born and raised in the Town of Athelstane, and he graduated from Wausaukee High School. After high school he furthered his education by attending Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College for carpentry and cabinet making. He began his career working for Phieffer Lumber Company in Crivitz until he was drafted into the army in 1968, serving with the 101st Airborne Unit. He served for his country in the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged in 1971 after receiving a Bronze and Silver Star for valor.

After his time in the armed forces, he married Laverne Samsa in 1975 and moved to Crivitz where he began his own construction company in 1981. He changed paths briefly and worked on the Herrell farm in the early 90s, until he eventually returned back to construction business working for Rob Kabby Construction. Eventually he decided to partner with Victor (Buck) Geh. In 1994 and they the started Hide-A-Way builders, where Larry worked until his retirement in 2014.

Today, Larry is an active member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2063 in Crivitz, serving as quartermaster got the last 20 years and Adjutant for 19. He is also a member of the American Legion post 413 and has held the position of finance officer since 2012.

He and his wife are happily married with four children and three beautiful grandchildren. They enjoy a hobby farm and have plans to settle down and retire from farming next year. Their son Jimmy will be taking over the farm and will continue raising pigs, chickens, and selling eggs.

Saturday Oct. 21, 2022 the Dama Plumbing and Heating family installed a free furnace supplied by Lennox Industries. Saturday morning, 20 members of the Dama Plumbing and Heating crew arrived on site and got to work installing a new furnace and air filter for this well deserving family.
