Claraine Hermersmann

Claraine Hermersmann, 79, passed away peacefully on Mon., Nov. 6, 2023. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 10, 1944, to the late William and Claraine (Burholzer) Knaack.

She moved with her family to Wisconsin as a child, she was a true animal lover. As a child she had 500 baby chicks to take care of. She loved the dogs and cats she has had over the years, most recently Ruby, E.T. and Teddy. She also really enjoyed fishing and would fish any chance she got. Claraine was a world traveler who enjoyed trips to Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Thailand, and many more. She also loved music and attended many concerts.

She is survived by her son Jeff (Bobbie) Hermersmann; daughter Carol Hudy; sisters Susanne (Ken) Simpson, Pam Nygaard; brother Bill Knaack; grandchildren Braxton, Branik, and Brance; special friend Eric Muehl; along with many nieces and nephews who she has shared many great times.

Preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband and friend Wally Hermersmann; sister Diane Stichman; and infant daughter Christine.
