Carl L. Christensen

Carl L. Christensen, 92, Crivitz, WI, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

He was born August 18, 1930 in Crivitz, to the late Alfred and Josephine (Olson) Christensen at their family home. He attended school in Wausaukee, WI until enlisting in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in San Antonio, TX. Madison, WI and Kinross Air Force Base in MI., until being honorably discharged in 1954.

He married his beloved wife, Grace (Porfilio) Christensen in July 1953. Together they had 69 years of adventures including having their three daughters who Carl was extremely proud of. Rhonda (Rick Daniels) Christensen, Chicago Ridge, IL., Linda Kmit, Crivitz, WI. and Paula Christensen, Crivitz, WI.

Carl was known by everyone. A man of many talents. From owning his own electrical business, being a dairy farmer and a jack of all other trades. He quietly imparted his wisdom, a strong work ethic and a life balance on his friends and family while remaining a very humble man who was always there to lend a hand. He enjoyed many things, above all his family. Carl also enjoyed hunting and fishing, farming, watching westerns and yodeling.

You could always expect a joke to be cracked and an infectious laugh to be heard.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; His daughters, Rhonda, Linda and Paula; His Granddaughter, Theresa (Tony) Martin, Kewaunee WI.; His Great-Grandchildren, Alyson (Oliver Jorgenson), Brenden and Christian Scheidt, Along with his sister, Emmarine (Emmy) Nutt, Amberg, WI. He was a fond uncle, cousin, neighbor and friend of many.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee and Arnold Christensen; His sisters, Gertrude Cannova and Ruth Pindozzo, Along with his son-in-law, Matthew Kmit.

Carl's family would like to thank Woodland Village of Crivitz, Bay Area Aurora Hospital, Meadowbrook of Oconto Falls, Twin Bridge Rescue Squad and Unity Hospice for their kindness, care and support during a time when they needed it the most.

A Celebration of Carl's life will be held at the Stephenson Townhall, W11280 County Rd. X, Crivitz, WI 54114 on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 1-4pm. Dessert and cookies (the only way Carl would have it) and coffee will be available. Please join the family to laugh and share a story of Carl. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carl's name to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or Twin Bridge Rescue Squad. Assisting the family with arrangements is Rhodes Charapata Funeral Homes.
