Bruce W. Braun

Bruce Wayne Braun, born December 2, 1948, passed on to eternal life on Sunday, November 14, 2021 with his wife Sheila at his side.

Bruce was a kind and gentle man whose life was defined by family. At an early age, he married Avis Guenther on September 24, 1966 and welcomed his daughter, Scarlet the following year. His devotion and pride in his family was boundless. He celebrated every milestone and accomplishment in his wife’s, and daughter’s life with tears of joy.

He was thrilled when blessed with his granddaughter Lauren and followed her achievements with pride. He never wished for glory of his own. Rather, day after day, he worked to provide for his family, spending much of his career at Marinette Marine as a welder.

Bruce was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was as excited as a child on Christmas Eve on the night before Deer Season began. He also caught and ate many a trout. He served as the Fire Chief for the Pound Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was once a Sunday School teacher at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. His laughter was contagious and his humor in top form whenever he gathered with his brothers and sister.

God made Bruce’s heart with an endless supply of love, overflowing so that at the right time in his life, he again found love with his second wife, Sheila Poisson. They married on June 28, 2008. Together they lived happily both in Pound, Wisconsin and later Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Some of their favorite times were spent enjoying the firepit in their backyard with dear friends. In his retirement, Bruce devoted countless hours caring for his stepdaughter Nikki’s children: Liam, Payton and Izzy, embracing and loving them as his own.

May we all have as much generosity of spirit to live our lives as Bruce did – loving his family and friends and enjoying the blessings of each day with a thankful heart. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date pending arrangements.
