Bernard Barribeau

Bernard “Red” Barribeau, 99, of Oconto, passed away Monday, Sept., 27, 2021 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Oconto Falls. 

Born June 6, 1922 in Oconto, to the late George and Annie Barribeau, he married Dorothy Theisen on Oct. 7, 1959 and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2000. He served in the United States Army. 

A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and his dogs. 

He is survived by a nephew, James Sullivan; a niece, Kathleen Vandenberg; many other nieces and nephews and was “Pa” to Suzie Romanski. 

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters. 

The family received relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto on Friday, Oct. 1 from 1 p.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., with Rev.
