Audrey Haynes

Audrey (Frederiksen) Haynes, 88, of Peshtigo, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Harbors Retirement Community in Menominee, where she recently resided.

Born Oct. 28, 1934 in Menominee, Mi., to Louis and Marcella (Eland) Frederiksen, she graduated from Marinette High School. She married Dennis Haynes on Dec. 20, 1952 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death in January of 2013.

In addition to raising her family, she worked as a cook at the Colonial Café for many years. She also delivered Meals on Wheels before and after retirement. A dedicated puzzle worker, she also enjoyed bingo and other games at the Harbors.

She is survived by five children, John Haynes, Denise Pleshek, James Haynes, Sr., Lori (George) Seymour and Jeff (Sherri) Haynes; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Dale Grages and Philip and Arthur Frederiksen; two sisters, Yvonne Gallian and Ruth Boucher and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Dennis, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Sonny Jo; a son-in-law, Mark Pleshek; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Haynes; three brothers, Bill, Larry and Jim Frederiksen and two sisters, Betty Mans and Donna Dettman.

Per her wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family gathering will be held with interment at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
