American Legion Post #476 Memorial Day Services

PORTERFIELD/WALSH/WAGNER – On Sunday, May 26, the Schwartz, Loll, Richards American Legion Post #476 of Loomis will be remembering the deceased veterans with memorial services at local cemeteries. A potluck dinner will be held afterwards at the Town of Lake Hall in Loomis. Please bring a dish to pass.

Any local veterans interested in helping with the services — at all or as many as you can — and all post members should meet at the St. Joseph Cemetery/Walsh on Bagley Road on Sunday, May 26 at 8:30 a.m. for practice.

The services will start (approximately) at the following cemeteries:

St. Joseph Cemetery/Walsh at 9:10 a.m.; Community Lutheran Church/McAllister at 9:45 a.m.; Tabor Cemetery/McAllister at 10:15 a.m.; St. Edward Cemetery/Wagner at 10:30 a.m.; Winesville Cemetery/Porterfield at 11 a.m.; Porterfield Lutheran Church at 11:30 a.m.; Town of Lake Hall/Loomis at noon.

The next meeting will be at the Town of Lake Hall in Loomis for the post and auxiliary on Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. with lunch at 5:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided by Shirley Smith and Janet Mullard. The post and auxiliary are looking for new members. Please check them out on June 5 and possibly join.
