The 24th edition of Ironman Lake Placid was held on Sunday, July 23rd in Lake Placid, NY which was the host of both the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. An Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile Swim which equates to swimming 169 times across a 25-yard pool, a 112-mile Bike Ride which would be like riding a bike from Peshtigo to a point between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac and concludes with a 26.2-mile Full Marathon distance Run which is like traveling on foot from Peshtigo past Oconto and almost to Abrams.
